First jars sold: and more in the making

Herd & Ofen has been ate and liked. Yes, the first sales were made and there is word in for second and third rounds. It is interesting to swap uncertainty for- perhaps this is a good idea-. In the last three months a lot has gone on. A tiny company was registered, that means; repeated visits to four government buildings, filing of lots of forms, two certifications and a new grey hair here and there. Once legalities were met came my introduction to the wholesale food market world, or should I say, I was the only girl there, and on top, with a silly looking 100 kg capacity hand pulled trolley, amongst people buying food on forklifts at four o’clock in the morning. Further, a few rounds of food testing thrown into the bin and a bit of a bruised cook soul recuperated after successfully canning 124 jars of soup, salad and compote. Have been getting a lot of attention on the U-Bahn [Underground] from people offering me their empty refundable bottles because they assume that that is what I am collecting in my trolley, as well as getting ticket controlled three times. Mind you without the trolley that did not happen, it sure has a lot of character. It has been a test and a party at the same time. I have doubted and shone and am looking forward to cooking the next batch of 144 jars. Herd und Ofen is open for business!

Erste Gläser verkauft, Nachschub schon Unterwegs

Herd & Ofen wurde gespeist und gemocht. Ja, die ersten Umsätze wurden gemacht und eine zweite und dritte Runde ist bereits im Kommen. Es ist aufregend das Gefühl der Unsicherheit gegen “Vielleicht ist das eine gute Idee” zu Tauschen. In den letzten drei Monaten ist viel passiert: Ein kleines Unternehmen wurde registriert, was wiederholte Besuche bei vier verschiedenen Behörden, das Einreichen vieler Formulare, zwei Zertifizierungen und neuem grauen Haar hier und da bedeutet. Nach Erfüllung aller Formalitäten folgte meine Einführung in die Welt der Lebensmittelgroßhändler, oder anders gesagt, Ich war das einzige Mädchen dort mit meinem auf 100 kg beschränktem Handwägelchen zwischen all den Männern die seit vier Uhr in der Früh mit Gabelstaplern Lebensmittel einkauften. Außerdem habe Ich ein paar Runden Koch -Tests für die Tonne hinter mir und mir eine etwas angeschlagene Seele eines Kochs zugelegt die sich vom erfolgreichen Zubereitem von 124 Gläsern Suppe, Salaten und Kompott erholt. In der U-Bahn bekam Ich stets eine Menge Aufmerksamkeit von den Leuten die mir ihre leeren Flaschen anbieten wollten, Im Glaube dass es das ist, was ich in meinem Wagen sammelte. Dreimal wurde meine Fahrkarte kontrolliert, wohlgemerkt, ohne den Wagen ist mir das nie passiert. Es hat einfach eine Menge Charakter. Es war ein Test und eine Party zugleich. Ich zweifelte und strahlte und freue mich jetzt auf das Zubereiten der nächsten Charge von 144 Gläsern. Herd & Ofen ist eröffnet!
